Small Plates
A word game for one or twoThe kitchen sends out one letter at a time. Put it on a plate, serve a word, then keep that plate going: turn TIN into TINE, TILE and TILED, and every new course earns more.

How it plays
Take the letter
One letter comes out of the kitchen. Put it on one of four plates, swap it for a letter that's already there, or skip it.
Serve a word
When a plate spells a word, it's served and you score. Rare letters are worth more, and the Qu tile spells two letters at once.
Order the next course
Keep building on the same plate. Every new word made from the last one is another course, and each course earns a bigger bonus.
Check, please!
When the letters run out, the check comes. Beat your best, or beat whoever's sitting across from you.

Questions
Is it free?
Yes. The web version is free, with no ads at all.
Does it need the internet?
Only the first time you open it. After that it works fully offline, even in airplane mode.
How do two people play on one phone?
Pick Table for two and type both names. You take turns placing one letter each, passing the phone between turns. The score card at the top shows whose turn it is.
Why wasn't my word accepted?
Small Plates uses a big list of common English words, 3 to 5 letters long (plus six-letter words with Qu). Very new slang, names and swear words aren't in it. If you think a real word is missing, send it to us.
Is it the same as Moxie?
It's inspired by Moxie, an old iPod touch word game we loved, but the rules and scoring are our own. Here's the story.
How do I move my games to a new phone?
Open Menu, then Move your games. You'll get a code to paste on the other phone or in the app. More on moving progress.
